Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Relationship Management & Thought Leadership
Serve as day-to-day liaison within the agency and with daily client contacts to manage assigned deliverables
Support Account Director and/or
supervisor to implement strategic direction for designated clients, including annual planning in the form of:
o Creative development
o Delivering campaign and program results
o Working with strategic resource to deliver relevant analysis
o Preparation of meeting materials to include but not limited to presentation management, content development and consolidation
Understand the client brand and creative direction to enable accurate communication within the agency to ensure brand-commensurate creative executions in support of results-driven marketing
Foster strong relationships with key client personnel
Ensure communication clarity, internally and to the client
Participate in the development of sound strategic recommendations based on clear understanding of client's business to include but not limited to:
o Competitive monitoring
o Industry knowledge
o Client objectives
New Business Development
Support Account Director and/or Supervisor to maintain and deliver current revenue projections
Support Account Director and/or Supervisor to enable cross sell and up sell opportunities
Understand and be able to impart how proposed solutions will affect defined revenue targets
Provide assistance with agency's new business activity to include but not limited to:
o Information collection and analysis
o Presentation preparation and delivery
o Written content for proposals
Operational Knowledge & Execution
Delivery of assigned projects including but not limited to creative development for direct mail, websites, micro sites, landing pages, e-mails, online advertising campaigns, social media, mobile, CRM and eCRM projects
Coordinate work between the various departments, of our agency or across Harte-Hanks, and client team members on all aspects of multiple simultaneous projects
Develop program plans, and effectively deliver those internally and to the client
Generate detailed project schedules to manage and ensure on-time deliverables
Support Account Director and/or Supervisor to author, constructively edit, review and maintain documentation such as POVs, strategy briefs, media plans/presentations, client memos, estimates, change orders, timelines and status reports
Learn and utilize all agency processes including but not limited to software tools
Prioritize simultaneous projects for self and team
Ensure accuracy and quality of all projects and documentation as related
Prepare project status reports and hold project status meetings with internal and external teams
Gain support and commitment from other departments and team members
Travel to clients is mandatory
Financial Management
Support Account Director and/or Supervisor in developing, monitoring and maintaining annual budgets in support of individual campaigns or overall client relationship
Support Account Director and/or Supervisor in managing and monitoring client contract compliance and reconciliations
Track all categories of spending for projects and ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget for the purposes of revenue projection such as in ongoing flash or annual budgeting efforts
Execute accurate and timely monthly billing and accounting close
Understand client invoice processing, monitor and work to collect any outstanding account receivables
Required Skills and Experience:
3+ years experience managing marketing projects in an agency environment, with a total of 4+ years working experience
Must be able to build productive relationships with clients and agency team members
Must be able to contribute in a team environment yet work autonomously
Direct, assertive, fearless and ready for the challenge
Solid written and oral presentation skills required
o Experience writing creative briefs and directing the creative development process both internally and in presentation to the client is required
Excellent project management and ability to provide team leadership and strategic direction to diverse, multi-location groups
Flexible and accepting of ever-changing needs
Multi-tasking and ability to prioritize is a must
Experience managing client budgets, billing, timelines and other client fiscal management
Ability to inspire the talent and creativity of team members and direct reports
Previous experience managing and growing annual budgets
College degree required
