Duties:
Develop storage solutions for new and existing clients.
Specify and document technical configurations
Automation of storage tasks
Deployment of new storage devices or environments
Assist in troubleshooting Storage related issues
Work with applications teams to determine optimal layout of devices
Interact with customer team to define requirements and deliverables
Evaluation of new storage technologies
Skills Needed:
Experience with enterprise level storage arrays
Brocade Fiber Switches
EMC ECC
EMC Storage Scope
Timefinder
SRDF
PowerPath
Work experience in a 7x24x365 Production Environment
Fluent in Visio and MS Project
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Provide technical mentoring to more junior people through design review and technical discussions
Desired Experience:
UNIX Systems Administration
Scripting Timfinder processes
Large-scale data migration projects
Data replication tools and processes
Managing NetApp and EMC NAS devices
Experience with additional enterprise storage frames (IBM, Hitachi and HP)
Backup software (TSM and NetBackup)
Education:
BS degree in a related discipline required or equivalent experience required
