JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:
- Investigate on advanced materials and technology and their potential application in coatings
- Develop product formulations suitable for sale and product improvement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work as a team player to study advanced materials and technology of coatings industry
2. Develop new coating technology platforms and formulate new products
3. Formulate or change chemical composition of new or existing products.
4. Select, test, and evaluate raw materials.
5. Develop test methods and test competitor products.
6. Provide technical support in completing more difficult assignments.
7. Provide help in setting up and using laboratory-testing equipments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Educational attainment equivalent to a Doctoral degree in chemistry, polymer science, material science or a related field
Considerable experience in structure vs. performance analysis, chemical analysis, and material characterization
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
Considerable knowledge of chemistry, polymer science, and material science
Solid background in the operation of advanced analytical instruments, materials characterization and data analysis
Strong skills in project management
Ability to complete assignments on time
Ability to communicate effectively
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel to customer or vendor locations
